Early Life and Career
Chad Robichaux was born and raised in Louisiana, where he developed a passion for football at a young age. He attended Louisiana State University (LSU), where he played as a defensive lineman. After graduating from LSU, Robichaux began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at McNeese State University.
Coaching Career
Robichaux's coaching career has spanned over two decades and has included stints at various levels of college football. After his graduate assistant role at McNeese State, he moved on to positions at Nicholls State University, Louisiana-Monroe, and Northwestern State University. In 2006, he returned to his alma mater, LSU, as a defensive line coach. His time at LSU proved to be a turning point in his career, as he helped develop several talented defensive linemen, including All-American Glenn Dorsey and All-SEC selection Tyson Jackson. In 2010, Robichaux left LSU to become the defensive coordinator at Texas Tech University under head coach Tommy Tuberville. At Texas Tech, he implemented a 4-3 defensive scheme and helped the Red Raiders improve their defensive performance. After three seasons at Texas Tech, Robichaux returned to LSU as the defensive line coach once again. In 2017, he was hired as the defensive coordinator at Louisiana Tech University.
