Early Career and Impact on Quinnipiac
Celebrated over numerous years of coaching at multiple levels down in Florida,ChadDavis came to Hamden for his first season as an assistant coach in 2016 for the women'svolleyball program and had an immediate impact on the program. In his first season with the Bobcats,Davis had a major role in leading Quinnipiac to a 13-16 record, their best in four years.Davis also helped the Bobcats to a 7-7 record in the MAAC, which was the best since 2013. The 2016 season also saw the Bobcats win their first three MAAC matches, a feat that had not been accomplished since 2010. Before arriving at Quinnipiac,Davis was the head coach of the women'svolleyball team at Olive College from 2000-2003. While at Olive College,Davis led the team to a 30-10 record in 2002, which still stands as a school record.Davis was also the head coach of the women'svolleyball team at Florida State College at Jacksonville from 2004-2010. During his time at FSCJ,Davis led the team to a 121-109 record, including a 22-10 record in 2007, which was the best in school history at the time.Davis also helped FSCJ to three consecutive winning seasons from 2007-2009.Davis's coaching experience at both Olive College and FSCJ helped him to develop his coaching skills and learn the importance of building a strong team culture.Davis also learned the importance of recruiting talented players and developing their skills to their full potential.
